2nd Saturday Jam

Let’s get some local acoustic musicians together, bring some songs and tunes, and spend an hour or two enjoying eachother’s company, songs, and tunes.

All acoustic non-amplified instruments are welcome: Guitars, Ukuleles, Fiddles, Banjos, Flutes, Mandolins, Bouzoukis, Dulcimers… if you can play it, bring it and come play and sing along.

Our goal is to play and sing together; please bring songs and tunes that you think others will be able to play along with without needing a chord chart, sheet music, or a music degree. The point is to enjoy singing and playing as a group; it’s a Jam! Please avoid songs that others are unlikely to know, or that others will be unlikely to play or sing along with; it’s not a song circle, open mic, or solo performance.

We’ve been jamming since October of 2025. Here are the upcoming dates:

November: Saturday 11/8/2025 1PM-4PM
December: TBD
January: Saturday, 1/10/2026 1PM-4PM
(New dates are posted as the room becomes available, generally 3 months ahead of time. In general, expect…. wait for it…. the 2nd Saturday of each month!)

Who

Any musicians playing an acoustic non-amplified instrument; beginner to advanced players are all welcome! Know three chords and one song? Great! Know all the chords and many songs? Great, too! If you sing but don’t play, that’s good too…. and of course listeners are also welcome!

What Music

Bring things that you think others can play along with that work well on acoustic instruments. Folk, Singer/Songwriter, Americana, Bluegrass, Oldtime, Old Country, open to all genres. We’re here to have fun!

Who’s organizing this?

We’re Maggie and Niels! We’re a couple of musicians that have just moved to Manomet, we look forward to meeting some local musicians and making music together. Note that this is not an event sponsored by the library, they’re very kindly letting us use their meeting room.
